When I was in university one of my classmates tried his hand at producing a 3D model for a project using one of the other faculties 3D printer. This was a few years  ago and to be honest the results were a little… sloppy.

Which is why some of these examples of really high quality, detailed models blow me away. Clearly the technology has moved on!

Kind of makes you feel like those scalpel lacerations and weeks of picking glue off your hands were all for nought.
